Tube operating pressure is determined based on the 23℃ burst pressure (shown in the tube catalog) and the tube’s dependence on temperature. First, find the burst pressure at an operating temperature on a correction coefficient graph, then multiply the safety factor to calculate the maximum operating pressure.
When determining the maximum operating pressure, adopt a pressure 1/4 or lower than the burst pressure at the operating temperature when using a gas, or 1/6 or lower when using a liquid. (Adopt a pressure 1/8 or lower for polyurethane tubing).
